The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has charged Pilgrims going for the 2017 Hajj exercise from the state to be good Ambassadors of the state at the Holy Land.
Governor Amosun gave the charge while bidding farewell to the first set of Pilgrims travelling to Mecca and Medina this Saturday at the Arcade ground in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta
The Governor reminded the Pilgrims to be of Ogun Standard, noting that they have to set the template for others to follow while urging them to go there and propagate the good name of the state.
Governor Amosun who prayed for journey mercies for the Pilgrims enjoined them to remember the entire state in their prayers.
On his part, the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Board Chairman, Alhaji Isiaq Yussuf who spoke with the state house correspondents stated that 420 Pilgrims would be going from the state disclosing that 129 Pilgrims are the first batch leaving the country this Saturday.
