The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has again reaffirmed his administration's commitment to leaving a system driven environment before the expiration of his government where institutions would be strengthened and developed rather than individual.
Governor Amosun made this known on Wednesday while hosting a delegation from the United Kingdom's Department For International Development in his Oke-Mosan office in Abeokuta.
The Governor said his government wants capacity development to be entrenched and indoctrinated into the system so that others coming behind can align and make the state a reference point.
Governor Amosun called on the Department For International Development to help support the government especially in the training for the civil and public service saying this will help to add value to governance.
The Governor who noted that the state had been enjoying the support of development partners further requested for the collaboration of the DFID in the education and health sectors.
Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, the leader of the delegation, Mr. David Ukagwu disclosed that his agency would support the state government in strengthening service delivery which he said would affect all sectors of the economy.
Mr. Ukagwu added that his agency would also be focusing on institutions that support ease of doing business in the state.
