GOVERNOR AMOSUN SUBMITS THREE ADDITIONAL NAMES AS ASSEMBLY SCREENS COMMISSIONER NOMINEES.
The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has submitted three additional Commissioner nominees to be screened tomorrow,Wednesday October 7, 2015 along with 16 others earlier submitted to the State House of Assembly.
The nominees as contained in a letter from the Governor, dated October 2, 2015 and read by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Suraju Ishola Adekunbi during today’s plenary were Mr. Rotimi Durojaye, Adebola Adeife and Mrs. Nike Osoba
Meanwhile, the Assembly had last week wednesday announced the names of 16 Commissioner nominees including Mrs Ronke Sokefun, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, Basorun Muyiwa Oladipo, Arc. Segun Abiodun, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite, Hon. Jide Ojuko, Sunday Segun Bamiwola, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye and Mr Bolaji Oyeleye.
Others are Barr. Leke Adewolu, Afolabi Afuwape, Gbenga Adenmosun, Chief Kolawole Wasiu Lawal, Otunba Bimbo Asiru,Mrs Yewande Amusan and Barr. Olumide Ayeni.
All the 19 nominees according to the Speaker should appear for screening tomorrow Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 10.00am prompt with 30 copies each of their Curriculum Vitae and their credentials including the original at the State House of Assembly Complex, Abeokuta.
In another development, Speaker Suraju Ishola Adekunbi has assured that roads that requiring rehabilitation in the State would soon be rehabilitated.
Adekunbi gave the assurance while responding to his colleague lawmakers who spoke under Personal Explanation on the state of some federal roads in their constituencies.
Those who spoke including members representing Sagamu I and Yewa South State Constituencies respectively, Honourables Adeyinka Mafe and Akintayo Juliana who complained of the deplorable state of the roads between Sagamu-Ikorodu and Ilaro-Owode which had been affecting the socio-economic status of the areas .
Adekunbi equally called on the Commissioner of Police in the State to take a critical look at the issue of multiple road blocks by policemen along Ijoun-Oja Odan Road which had been affecting the socio-economic lives of the people.
The Lawmaker representing Yewa North II State Constituency, Hon. Rasaq Oduntan on his part had earlier said there were more than 20 road blocks mounted by operatives of the State Command along the road.
