A former Governor of Ogun State and the current Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has appealed to South Western parents to encourage their wards to take up employment opportunities that abound in security agencies.
Senator Daniel made the appeal while addressing journalists during a program tagged "Dialogue with our Legislators", in Abeokuta organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council for legislators to give account of their one year stewardship in office.
"I want to make this passionate appeal to us all not to make the mistakes our parents made by saying 'Omo buruku lo n se ise soja' that is, it is bad children that take up security jobs", the Federal Law Maker said.
Buttressing, his point, Senator Daniel disclosed that there is no American citizens who has not undergone military training adding that almost all the Heads of State and Presidents who have ruled Nigeria were military men.
The former Governor while calling on members of the fourth estate of the realm to help educate and properly enlighten the people said there is no better opportunity than now that someone from their region is the Chairman.
Earlier, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council, Comrade Akinwale Olanrewaju appreciated Senator Daniel for honouring the call of Journalists noting that he has positive reports to give.
