ADEGBESAN SHINES AGAIN AS OGUN APC UNVEILS HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PRIMARY WINNERS

_Lawmaker Secures APC Ticket for Second Term Bid Amid Party’s Successful Primaries Across Ogun._

The political atmosphere in Ogun State came alive on Saturday as the All Progressives Congress (APC) officially announced the winners of its House of Representatives primary elections conducted across the state, with Hon. Joseph Adegbesan emerging victorious to fly the party’s flag once again for the Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency.

The announcement, made at the APC State Secretariat in Abeokuta, followed the successful conclusion of the party’s primary elections across the affected federal constituencies, reinforcing the APC’s resolve to sustain internal democracy and party cohesion ahead of the general elections.

Chairman of the Ogun State APC National Assembly Primary Elections Committee, Philip Shaibu, formally declared the winners after receiving and reviewing reports submitted by collation officers from various federal constituencies across the state.

For many political observers and party faithful, the emergence of Hon. Adegbesan has been described as a reflection of confidence in his representation, legislative contributions, and grassroots connection within the federal constituency. His victory signals a renewed opportunity to consolidate on developmental strides and people-oriented representation.

Other candidates who secured the party’s tickets include Funmi Efuwape, who emerged candidate for Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency, while Olumide Osoba clinched the ticket for Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda Federal Constituency.

In Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Moruf Afuape secured victory, while Dr. Toyin Taiwo emerged winner for Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency.

Similarly, Olanrewaju Bashorun won the Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency primary, while Adijat Adeleye emerged as the APC candidate for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency.

In the remaining constituencies, Razaq Dadah secured the APC ticket for Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency, while Gboyega Isiaka emerged victorious in Imeko-Afon/Yewa North Federal Constituency.

Party stakeholders described the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and reflective of the APC’s commitment to democratic values and unity within its ranks.

With the successful completion of the primaries, attention is now expected to shift toward strengthening party structures and mobilising support ahead of the forthcoming elections, as candidates prepare to engage constituents with renewed vigour and political direction.
