OGSIEC BOSS EXTOLS VIRTUE OF RETIRED PERM SEC

Retired Permanent Secretary of the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC), Mrs. Mojisola Dosunmu has been described as a thorough bred administrator, whose sense of duty and work ethics should be emulated by all categories of workers.

OGSIEC Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, who made the submission during a send-off organised in honour of Mrs. Dosunmu, commended her commitment to duty and unblemished career.

“It is not easy for somebody to have an unblemished career even though the devil tried in many ways, but we must thank God for standing by you and sparring your life. Your legacy at the Commission will not be eroded”, Osibodu added.

Praying God to grant her good health and peaceful retirement, Osibodu expressed the Commission’s appreciation to the retired PS especially, during the 2021 Local Government elections, adding that the Commission was proud of her legacy.

Eulogising Mrs. Dosunmu, Commissioners and Management Staff of the Commission lauded her for being fair, firm and upright throughout her stay as the Chief Accounting Officer at OGSIEC, disclosing that her good memories will linger.

Remarking, the retire Perm. Sec. thanked God for seeing her through her years of active service, appreciating OGSIEC management for their support, while her son, Dr. Kolawole Dosunmu, also expressed delight for the support granted his mother and thanked them for standing by her.

Mrs. Mojisola bowed out of the Civil Service of Ogun State on 15th December, 2021 as Permanent Secretary, OGSIEC.

GOV. ABIODUN BAGS 'BEST GOVERNOR OF CONTINUITY AND CONSISTENCY AWARD'


The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has again been honoured with another award tagged ‘Best Governor of Continuity and Consistency’ for his good governance initiative.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor from the leadership of Gateway News Update, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile said, "the Governor has been receiving so many awards and none has been solicited for".

Odusile noted that the honor was an indication that the people were monitoring the government's policies and programmes, appreciating the organisation for counting the Governor worthy of the award.

The Commissioner said all hands should be on deck towards taking the State to a greater height in line with the ‘ISEYA’ mantra of the present administration, assuring of the government's support for the media.

In his presentation, the Publisher, Gateway News Update, Evang. Tunde Omolaolu described the Governor’s style of governance as deliberate and methodical, appreciating him for embracing the principle of continuity and consistency in his government.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Odusile has said Governor Abiodun should be credited for having a continuity mindset and actualising lofty projects since the creation of the State. 

The Commissioner who represented the Governor made this known in Abeokuta at a book launch of a retired Permanent Secretary, Barrister Demola Badejo, stating that the present administration had completed projects that were abandoned by his predecessors for the people to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

Speaking about the celebrant, Odusile in his capacity as the Commissioner described Barr. Badejo as one of the best Chairmen of Nigeria Union of Journalists who had discharged his duties creditably, saying he deserved to be commended for his leadership qualities, congratulating him for the feat achieved so far.

In his response, the celebrant, Barr. Badejo appreciated the government, friends and well-wishers for the honour bestowed on him, promising to continue to do more for the development of the State and journalism profession.

Nigerians Urged to Rededicate Their Lives to God


Nigerians have been told to rededicate their lives and move closer to God for a divine turnaround in 2022.

The Lead Pastor, Victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume who gave this charge during the first Sunday Service in the new year at the church Headquarters in Ajebo Rd, Abeokuta, called on Nigerians not to relent in praying for spiritual stability and a better Nigeria.

Achudume, while congratulating the congregation for making it into the new year said, everyone should live in love, be righteous and have faith in God for a New Nigeria, devoid of hostility and insecurity, calling on those at the helms of affair to stop oppression and ensure conducive atmosphere for the citizens.

He also enjoined religious leaders to teach discipline and obedience at their various worship centres, raise entrepreneurs  among worshippers, as well as guide against prophecies that could cause panic in the land.
